Selling Your Home By Yourself Without an Agent-It It Worth It?

There are real estate agents for a reason.  Actually, for many reasons.  First of all there is a ton of paperwork to fill out which helps keep you (the seller) out of a potential lawsuit.  We all know how people want to sue everyone these days and not take responsibility for anything.  Second, is a real estate agent has education and experience selling homes.  Do you?  Typically, the realtor has knowledge of your neighborhood if he/she has sold there before. Realtors also tend to have good negotiation skills.  They also can remove themselves from the emotional part of the transaction.  Another good reason to hire an agent is because agents can give you comparable sales in your neighborhood.  And, that way your home is not over priced.  Many for sale by owners over price their home.

Of course, there is also the Multiple Listing Service and all of the websites that feed through that to help you get a buyer.  But a for sale by owner will not have access to that.  A realtor is worth their commission as there are so many questions a for sale by owner seller will have.  Give me a call today to show you what a realtor can do for you.
